Welcome to Bethel Independent Methodist Church, Wigan. We are a community church in Wigan, renowned for its wonderful singing, where you are assured of a warm and friendly welcome. Midweek activities include Ladies Fellowship, Choir, House Groups and Fellowship meetings.
Our Sunday morning service takes place at 10:45am each week. A Communion Service is included on the 1st Sunday in the month.
The Easter Cantata 2024
On the evening of Good Friday, a large congregation gathered to hear the cantata, “Cradle to Cross”. Our choir, as always on these occasions, was augmented by friends from other churches and gave a wonderful performance of Christ’s birth to His death and Resurrection. The cantata had been compiled by our organist and choirmaster, Kevan Booth. The Independent Methodist Connexional President, Dorothy Kendrick, travelled from Oldham to lead our worship. At the close of the service, refreshments were served, which gave everyone the opportunity to share fellowship. A freewill offering was taken which resulted in £575 being handed over to The Storehouse Project.
